Glimmer Belcourt originated in Suzanne Collins' best-selling book The Hunger Games, the first installment in the series of the same name, as the female tribute from Panem's District 1. She is described as being ruthless, beautiful, sexy, narcissistic, and cocky, which ultimately leads to her death by Katniss Everdeen during the 74th Hunger Games. In the 2012 film adaption of the book, Glimmer was portrayed by Leven Rambin.
